- Still on the lions diet, started on Jan 2nd, '25 (27 days + Jan. 30th - Feb. 5th = 35 days), did I absolutely give up coffee..... this answer is _ no. It doesn’t impact my blood sugar at all, and I know exactly which brands I can use without triggering allergies or making me feel tired. I only have two go to brands i enjoy, not advertising they're The Roastery and another newer local brand called Encore. They both have decaf, I get a medium roast - no flavors.
- More about my lions diet: Now I've confessed that coffee on my lions diet is gold for me, I'll have 3 cups or even more then sometimes I'll have 1 cup and that's most days. It is what I can "cheat" on. Myself and coffee love: I've never taken coffee completely out of my diet ever, it's just simplified.
- A trail for more results: My lions diet consist of ground beef 70 ish % lean and 20-25 ish %, I am counting carbs / calories now for a week. I don't know if what I am doing is right, but I want to see how long the food will last. I'm weighing how much google says I need I'm 5'2" and 160 lbs. I typed that in and did the math, I feel comfortable and full when I eat 1,000 - 1,300 calories. I'll have raw ground beef along with my cooked ground beef for different texture and flavor. Raw beef taste sweet to me. All I use is salt on my beef, I haven't had spices on purpose in a year. Around 6 or 7 pm I'll have some fat crispies, I make sure I go to bed hours (3-5 hours) after eating those. At night I'll have a table spoon or 2 of raw ground beef before bed along with the butter.
- Adding in things here and there: Butter and bacon. That is what I add in when I need something more or snacky like. Bacon is not even twice a week, it is once in a blue moon or is going to 2 a month. Very little bacon goes a long way. I cook with butter often. I may have a table spoon of butter before I go to bed. The bacon, I like it crispy, I cut it in little pieces (about the size of a pointer finger, a normal sized pointer finger) then they're chips.
- Liquids with the lions diet: On the lions diet, on the first trail it took me 14 days to get rid of diet pop. Haven't had diet pop since Jan. 14th '25, longest time not having diet pop for a streak. Then I did club soda with lemon juice, apple cider vinegar with a very small amount of allulose. The next step was just only lemon juice and only apple cider vinegar with club soda. Now it is salty water and coffee during the day. At night or when I am trying to fast I have hot or warm salty water, it just works.
- MOODS on the lions diet: The moods were wild, very angry for 20 days or so. During the 20 days on the first trail of the lions diet I was getting rid of diet pop. Diet pop is a whole other thing to with drawl from, I'd say that because it'll be one of the worst things to with drawl from. I will never bring diet pop into my life ever again, not even if someone were to hold a gun to my head and forced me. I'd rather be dead than add any of the nasty shit into my life again, less sugar coating on the blog the better. I sometimes think about these veggies to add back in, I just can't right now: sweet potatoes, green beans and cauliflower. The fruit I still crave is a whole different story, no I haven't had any fruit during the lions diet.
